We need you on TUESDAY!

by NHFC, Inc. on March 4, 2019

Have you joined the fight against gun confiscation?

We need all law abiding gun owners to get involved.  Now, not next week, not next month, but now.

On Tuesday, March 5, 2019, at 10AM, the New Hampshire House Criminal Justice and Public Safety Committee will hold a public hearing on HB 687, the other gun confiscation bill.  Plan to attend to let the committee know that you are opposed to so called, “red flag” gun confiscation.  Several of our past alerts have included the details on HB 687.  Please click here, we have another alert here, or click here for our fact sheet on gun confiscation.  My good friend Jared over at Guns and Gadgets produced two informative videos on gun confiscation.  Click here to view the first video and click here for the second video.

Last week, eleven weak-kneed Republicans broke ranks and voted for HB 696, a gun confiscation bill cleverly disguised as an elder care bill.  We need to let them know that anti-gun compromising is not acceptable.  Click here for contact information on for all State Representatives.

In a bold move, designed and intended to force gun owners to choose between exercising their First Amendment or Second Amendment rights, the March 5, 2019 public hearing on HB 687, gun confiscation has been moved out of Room 204 in the Legislative Office Building and into Representatives Hall, which, in their first act of the new legislative session, the new anti-gun majority designated by rule as a gun free, criminal safe zone.  We need to exercise our First Amendment rights to protect our Second Amendment rights and oppose gun confiscation.  You do not have to speak if you don’t want to; you can sign the blue form to show your opposition to HB 687, gun confiscation.

Now is the time to start contacting members of the Committee to express your opposition to HB 687, gun confiscation.

Pre-written message to Members of the House Criminal Justice and Public Safety Committee:

Dear Representatives:

This week you will conduct a public hearing on HB 687, gun confiscation.  HB 687 deprives individuals of their Second, Fourth and Fourteenth Amendment rights without due process by allowing ex-parte hearings, conducted by telephone to allow judges to order the confiscation of a person’s guns without that person even being present.  Sure, the accused can have a court hearing after his/her property has been taken but that is not due process.  Furthermore, the “accused” would be forced to spend tens of thousands of dollars on attorneys and experts to reclaim their civil right to bear arms.  A person who is accused of a crime, even a low level offense retains their Constitutional right to face their accuser and have their day in court before punishment is meted out.  However, in the case of HB 687 a person will be deprived of their property without a court hearing.  ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! As a strong supporter of the Second Amendment, I urge you to OPPOSE the Gun Confiscation Bill, HB 687.  Please do not force this unconstitutional scheme into law.

Please vote HB 687 “inexpedient to legislate”; The New Hampshire Firearms Coalition will keep me informed of your vote.

Thank you for your consideration.

As always, if any State Representative(s) write back, please send me a copy: arice@nhfc-ontarget.org

Thanks for your support!

In liberty,

Alan M. Rice

P.S.: Have you signed our petition opposing all anti-gun bills?  If not, please click here to sign.  We have already printed and delivered almost 1,300 of your petitions to Speaker of the House but we need even more signed petitions before we deliver these to the Governor and Senate President.
