Dealer and manufacturer immunity at risk

by Secretary, NHFC on March 6, 2024

The New Hampshire Firearms Coalition is currently following HB 1037, a bill to remove limited liability protections for gun and ammunition manufacturers, dealers and distributers.

This dangerous bill is scheduled for a vote tomorrow on the floor of the New Hampshire House. It strips away your 2nd Amendment rights by attacking those who sell and distribute firearms and ammunition.

Practically speaking, this bill could place even the average law-abiding citizen like yourself in jeopardy of being sued simply because you sold a legal firearm to somebody who then misused it. Recently, a critical NH supreme court case was decided over this very law protecting the dealer from a lawsuit.

I’m sure you can readily see the danger this creates for all of us who hold to our Constitutional rights to keep and bear arms.

Please contact your House legislator at once and ask them to vote for the report of Inexpedient to Legislate.

Go to:  Who is my rep, and then select “Discover a Town or City’s Representative.” After you select your town, you will see a list of your state representatives. By clicking on their names, you can get their phone number and email addresses (you need to copy this and paste it into your email browser). When emailing them, use “Please Vote ITL HB 1037” in the subject line.

This bad measure is disastrous, not only for your gun rights, but for so many things in our economy and day-to-day lives.

Remember, this bill is on the floor tomorrow, so don’t delay!

Please contact your State Representative immediately.
