As you may have read in the news the Senate Judiciary Hearing on SB 116, Constitutional Carry, was well attended by supporters of the Right to Keep and Bear Arms.
I want to thank all of the NHFC Members and Friends who attended Thursday’s hearing. Your presence was felt and it will make a difference. Without you our dedicated members, NHFC would not be the strong organization that it is.
NHFC was well represented by its members; Board Member Alan Rice was quoted in the Union Leader.
We even had some outside help, Eddie Cutler, the President of Gun Owners of Vermont came to support us and explain how Constitutional Carry has worked so well in Vermont for over 200 years.
However, just because the hearing was well attended does not mean that SB 116 will pass the Judiciary Committee. Calls, letters and emails are still needed. Please contact the Senate Judiciary Committee and urge them to vote SB 116 “ought to pass” without any amendments or changes. Make it clear that SB 116 is needed due to abuse of the current system by a few police chiefs and activist judges who have denied licenses to people who are not prohibited by law from owning a firearm. Explain to the Senators that you want your civil right to carry concealed firearms to be respected.
